Skechers safety shoes and safety trainers

Skechers safety shoes bring Skechers comfort to jobs that need toe protection. Every style here is from Skechers Work, Skechers' own work and safety range, and is certified to EN ISO 20345, the European standard for safety footwear. Choose Skechers steel toe cap safety trainers, composite toe safety trainers or an alloy toe style, plus Skechers safety boots, with safety ratings from SB to S1P and S3. Every style has a slip resistant sole, and many have Memory Foam, Arch Fit or hands-free Slip-ins comfort. Shop men's Skechers safety trainers in UK 5.5 to UK 14 and women's Skechers safety trainers in UK 2 to UK 9. Only styles in stock are shown.

Skechers steel toe cap and composite toe cap safety shoes

Every toe cap certified to EN ISO 20345 is tested to withstand an impact of 200 joules and a compression of 15 kilonewtons, whether it is made of steel, composite or alloy, so all three give the same certified level of toe protection. Steel toe caps are the traditional choice. Composite toe caps are made without metal and are usually lighter, which makes them popular for long shifts and for workplaces that limit metal. Alloy toe caps are a lighter metal alternative to steel. The toe cap material is shown in each product name and on each product page.

Skechers safety ratings explained

  • SB: the basic safety rating, with a protective toe cap. Our SB styles also have slip resistant soles, and most have fuel and oil resistant soles.
  • S1P: a toe cap plus a closed heel, an anti-static sole, an energy absorbing heel and a puncture resistant midsole, which stops sharp objects such as nails coming up through the sole.
  • S3: everything in S1P plus a water resistant upper and a cleated sole.
  • S1PL and S3L: the newer markings under EN ISO 20345:2022, showing the puncture resistant midsole is a non-metal insert tested to the L standard.
  • ESD: many Skechers safety trainers are ESD (electrostatic dissipative) for workplaces with sensitive electronics.

Why Skechers safety trainers are so comfortable

Skechers calls itself The Comfort Technology Company, and its safety footwear is built with the same comfort technology as everyday Skechers. Many styles have Memory Foam or Air-Cooled Memory Foam insoles, selected styles have Skechers Arch Fit, which Skechers describes as a podiatrist-certified insole and arch support system, and Relaxed Fit styles give a roomier fit across the toes. Hands-free Skechers Slip-ins safety trainers, with a composite toe cap and a moulded Heel Pillow, let you step straight in at the start of a shift. Safety footwear that is comfortable is safety footwear that gets worn properly all day.

Who wears Skechers safety shoes?

Skechers safety trainers are worn in warehouses, logistics and distribution, manufacturing, engineering, trades, maintenance, estates and facilities management, and anywhere a toe cap is required. Their trainer look and lighter feel make them popular with staff who move about all day, and ESD styles suit electronics and technical environments.

Women's Skechers safety trainers

Women's Skechers safety trainers come in UK 2 to UK 9 with composite toe caps, in S1P, S1PL, S3 and S3L ratings, with ESD soles, Memory Foam and Arch Fit options, and hands-free Slip-ins.

Sizes and fit

Men's Skechers safety shoes run from UK 5.5 to UK 14 and women's from UK 2 to UK 9, with half sizes in most styles. Relaxed Fit styles give extra room across the foot. Each product page shows the sizes in stock, the toe cap, the safety rating and the standard.

Skechers Safety Shoes FAQs

Do Skechers make steel toe cap safety shoes?

Yes. Skechers Work makes safety shoes, safety trainers and safety boots with steel, composite or alloy toe caps, all certified to EN ISO 20345 and rated SB, S1P or S3. Shuperb is an official authorised UK stockist of Skechers, with men's Skechers safety trainers in UK 5.5 to UK 14 and women's in UK 2 to UK 9. Every style has a slip resistant sole, and most styles are dispatched the same day on orders placed before 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

What is the difference between a steel toe cap and a composite toe cap?

Both give the same certified protection. Every toe cap certified to EN ISO 20345 must withstand an impact of 200 joules and a compression of 15 kilonewtons. Steel toe caps are the traditional choice, while composite toe caps are made without metal and are usually lighter, which many people prefer for long shifts. Skechers makes safety shoes with both, and the toe cap is shown on each product page.

What do SB, S1P and S3 mean on Skechers safety shoes?

SB means the shoe has a protective toe cap certified to EN ISO 20345. S1P adds a closed heel, an anti-static sole, an energy absorbing heel and a puncture resistant midsole. S3 adds a water resistant upper and a cleated sole on top of S1P. The newer S1PL and S3L markings show a non-metal puncture resistant midsole tested under EN ISO 20345:2022. Check your employer's risk assessment for the rating your job needs.

Are Skechers safety trainers comfortable?

Skechers safety trainers are built with the same comfort technology as everyday Skechers. Many have Memory Foam or Air-Cooled Memory Foam insoles, selected styles have Arch Fit, which Skechers describes as podiatrist-certified arch support, and Relaxed Fit styles give a roomier fit. There are also hands-free Slip-ins composite toe safety trainers you can step straight into, and many styles have an energy absorbing heel.
