Dress for the big day with Mister Carlo men's shoes, a range of smart formal footwear built around the wedding season. The collection centres on sharp black patent Oxford and Derby lace-ups and slip-on patent loafers, the classic choices for grooms, groomsmen and guests, with padded collars and padded footbeds so they stay comfortable from the ceremony through to the last dance.
Choose an Oxford for the most formal look, a Derby for a slightly more relaxed lace-up, or a loafer if you prefer to slip them on. Each style has a cushioned footbed, a durable rubber or TPR sole and a high-shine patent finish that pairs with a dinner suit, morning dress or a sharp wedding suit. Our leather tan and brown Derby styles work just as well for the office or a smart occasion. Mister Carlo Chelsea boots and leather brogues are arriving next month, so check back for the new styles.

Mister Carlo FAQs
Which Mister Carlo shoes are best for a wedding?
Black patent Oxfords are the most formal choice and the traditional pick for grooms and groomsmen, especially with a dinner suit or morning dress. Patent Derbys give a very similar look with a slightly more relaxed lace-up, and patent loafers suit guests who want a smart slip-on. For a daytime or less formal wedding, a tan leather Derby works well with navy or grey suits.
What is the difference between an Oxford and a Derby shoe?
On an Oxford the lace panels are stitched under the front of the shoe, giving a closed, sleek lacing that sits flat and looks the most formal. On a Derby the lace panels are stitched on top of the front, so the lacing is open and the fit is a little more forgiving across the instep. If you have a higher instep or a wider foot, a Derby is usually the more comfortable option.
Are Mister Carlo shoes comfortable to wear all day?
The current range is designed with long wedding days in mind, with padded collars around the ankle and padded footbeds underfoot. The soles are rubber or TPR, which gives grip and flexibility on dance floors and hard venue floors. As with any new formal shoe, wearing them around the house a few times before the event helps them settle in.
How do I keep patent shoes looking shiny?
Patent uppers don't need polishing. Wipe them with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and marks, then buff dry with a clean cloth. Avoid wax polishes and harsh cleaners, which can dull the finish, and store the shoes away from heat and direct sunlight so the patent doesn't crack or discolour.
